Dr. Nicki Hasenfus
Dentist

  • Dr. Nicki grew up in Winthrop, Maine.
  • She graduated from Winthrop High School in 2005 and then from the University of Maine at Orono in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Pre-Med Minor.
  • She attended Dalhousie University Dental School in Halifax, Nova Scotia (Canada) and graduated in 2014 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.
  • After dental school, she returned home to practice at Patenaude Family Dentistry.
  • In 2017, she purchased Augusta Family Dentistry from Dr. Jeff Timm and Dr. Steve Desrosiers, now known as Hasenfus Family Dental.

Dr. Steve Desrosiers
Dentist

  • Born and raised in Methuen, Massachusettes
  • Graduated from St. Anselm College, Manchester NH in 1980 with a bachelor degree in biology.
  • Received dental degree from Boston University in 1984
  • Practiced general dentistry in Rangeley, Maine from 1984-1986, as a federal employee in the National Health Service Corps.
  • Has been in private practice in Augusta, Maine since 1986.

Located in Augusta, Maine, Hasenfus Family Dental draws patients from the greater Augusta area including but not limited to Winthrop, Gardiner, Lewiston/Auburn, and Waterville. We provide a welcoming and comfortable environment sure to put you at ease. Our passion is to provide the best service and a great value in meeting your needs and wants for your smile and oral health.

We take most dental insurance plans. We are in network with Delta Dental – Par Premier.

Julie Norwood - RDH

  • Graduated Hygiene School in 2012 from the University of New England

  • She lives with her husband, Pat, and her two sons, Everett and Abram.

  • Her family loves camping and being outside with their dogs.

Kristy Harmon - RDH

  • Graduated Hygiene School in 2018 with an Associate’s Degree from UMA in Bangor.
  • She lives with her husband, Jordan, their son, Paxton, and their four golden retrievers – Max, Mya, Millie, and Waylon. They are expecting their second child in July 2024.
  • She enjoys skiing at Sugarloaf and camping in Weld, Maine.

Kim Blanchard - RDH

  • Graduated Hygiene School in 1991.

  • She is married to and lives with her husband, Mike and has 2 grown children – Hannah and Elle.

  • She recently became a g-ma to her first grandchild – Carter.

Amy Stevens -RDH

  • Graduated Hygiene School in 2003 from the University of Maine at Augusta-Bangor.

  • She is married to her husband and they have two sons together.

  • She enjoys spending time in her garden, outdoors, and going to camp.

Brynna Avery - RDH

  • Graduated Hygiene School in 2015 from the University College Bangor.

  • She grew up on Cobbossee Lake and still lives locally. She loves to be outside with the dogs and chickens. They enjoy hiking, ice fishing, snowmobiling and everything Maine has to offer.

  • She is married to her husband Nick and they have a son named Vaughn. They have three loving labaradors – Griffey, Monte, and Maddux.

Jessica Alexander-RDH

Graduated Hygiene School with an Associate’s Degree in 2006 and a Bachelor’s Degree in 2007.

  • She started here at Augusta Family Dentistry (Timm and Desrosiers) straight out of college and continues to be an asset for Hasenfus Family Dental

  • She is happily married to her husband, Andy, and they have 2 young daughters.

Lisa Gottardi - Dental Assistant

  • Graduated Madison High School in 1982. Attended/graduated KVTC in 1986 with a certificate in Dental and Medical Assisting.

  • Started dental assisting in 1987 in a pediatric dental office and also worked at a crown and bridge lab.

  • Has a daughter born in 1989 and a son born in 2008 and a proud Mamie to her granddaughter born in 2017.

  • Worked for Timm and Desrosiers and then continued on with Hasenfus Family Dental in 2017. Loves treating patients like family and looks forward to welcoming new patients, young and old!

Rachel Wentworth- Dental Assistant

She lives in Sidney with and husband, Kyle, whom she married in 2023. She adopted a new dog, Pratt. Graduated from UMA in May 2023 with a BA in Biology. She loves hiking and kayaking and is looking forward to taking Pratt on hikes.

Sally Roberts- Receptionist

  • Front desk receptionist at Hasenfus Family Dental since 2019 with a total of 22 years of front desk dental experience.

  • Raised and educated in Southern Maine.

  • Resides in Winthrop with husband, David. They have 5 children and 5 grandchildren and one pampered cat, Daphne.

  • She enjoys camping, spending time with family and friends, crafting, and studying the Bible.

Abby Burbank - Receptionist

  • Abby lives in Augusta with her husband Clint, and their daughter, Sydney.

  • She enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring Maine four-wheeling, spending time at her family’s cabin near Deer Isle, and volunteering her time promoting Bible education.
